Day Care Centers: One space for each two staff members plus one space for each 10 children. Other Business: One space for each ono„ hundred fifty square feet of the floor area. 8.090. Surfacing of Parking Areas. Oif street parking areas shall be surfaced w_ -asphaltor concrete, and with permanent concrete curbs to define driveways and parking limits. Plans and specifications for parking areas shall be filed with the Inspection Superintendent and ap- proved by him prior to construction. / ,V 7-,e_A -41 8.100. Drainage of Parking _Areas. Off-street parking areas shall he so graded an raine as s to dispose of all surface water. Drainage plans shall be subject to the approval of the Public Works Director. 8.110. Lightingg of Parking Areas. All lighting used to illuminate off- street par ing areas shall be so arranged as to deflect the light away from adjacent property in residential use. 8.120. Screening and Landscaping of Parking Areas. All open off- street par ing areas having more than 6 parking spaces shall be effec- tivel'v screened by a wall, fence of acceptable design, or compact hedge along all sides which adjoin or are directly across the street from a property in a residential zone or institutional use. Such wall, fence or hedge shall be not less thaq,y,[Fet high and not.more than 6 feet high, and shall be maintained in good condition. Plans for fencing shall be approved by the Inspection Superintendent. The fence shall not be used for advertis- ing purposes. 8.130. Location of Off -Street Parking Areas. Parking spaces acces- sory to multiple -family dwellings shall e on the same lot as the principal use served or within 200 feet of the main entrance to the principal build- ing served. Spaces accessory to uses located in a business district shall be within 300 feet of the principal building served. There shall be no off- street parking within 15 feet of any street right-of-way. . 8.140. Joint Parking Facilities Permitted; Proviso. Required parking facilities serving wo or more uses may a ocate on the same lot or in the same structure provided that the total number of parking spaces f, iished shall not be less than the sum of the separate requirements for each use. 8.150. General Conditions for Approval of Joint Parking Facilities.
