Surfacing of Parking Areas. Oif street parking areas shall be <br />surfaced w_ -asphaltor concrete, and with permanent concrete curbs <br />to define driveways and parking limits. Plans and specifications for <br />parking areas shall be filed with the Inspection Superintendent and ap- <br />proved by him prior to construction. / ,V 7-,e_A -41 <br />8.100. Drainage of Parking _Areas. Off-street parking areas shall he <br />so graded an raine as s to dispose of all surface water. Drainage plans <br />shall be subject to the approval of the Public Works Director. <br />8.110. Lightingg of Parking Areas. All lighting used to illuminate off- <br />street par ing areas shall be so arranged as to deflect the light away <br />from adjacent property in residential use. <br />8.120. Screening and Landscaping of Parking Areas. All open off- <br />street par ing areas having more than 6 parking spaces shall be effec- <br />tivel'v screened by a wall, fence of acceptable design, or compact hedge <br />along all sides which adjoin or are directly across the street from a <br />property in a residential zone or institutional use. Such wall, fence or <br />hedge shall be not less thaq,y,[Fet high and not.more than 6 feet high, and <br />shall be maintained in good condition. Plans for fencing shall be approved <br />by the Inspection Superintendent. The fence shall not be used for advertis- <br />ing purposes. <br />8.130. Location of Off -Street Parking Areas. Parking spaces acces- <br />sory to multiple -family dwellings shall e on the same lot as the principal <br />use served or within 200 feet of the main entrance to the principal build- <br />ing served. Spaces accessory to uses located in a business district shall <br />be within 300 feet of the principal building served. There shall be no off- <br />street parking within 15 feet of any street right-of-way. . <br />8.140. Joint Parking Facilities Permitted; Proviso. Required parking <br />facilities serving wo or more uses may a ocate on the same lot or in <br />the same structure provided that the total number of parking spaces <br />f, iished shall not be less than the sum of the separate requirements for <br />each use. <br />8.150.
