MEMORANDUM
Page Six
April, 10, 1989
Howard Dahlgren inquired how best to resolve thmpo}from Fairview Atvenueween hDave Koski ki
e City and
County regarding access into the Tanurb Develop
replied that the County's objections to the Tanurb Development entry from Fairview
Avenue (opposite the relocated Rosedale entry) was based on an old development scheme
which had greater impact on that intersection then the current plan. Karl Keel explained
that the proposed access into the Tanurb site is primarily an entry with only service
vehicles permitted to exit there. Karl also stated that the left turning stacking distances
along Fairview Avenue were very close to having adequate space. Dave Koski
recommended that the City of Roseville make their desire known to the County about that
intersection; that if the City really wants the intersection there, that the County will have a
difficult time denying them.
Karl Keel mentioned that he was not convinced that the Fairview Avenue entry would not
still be a 'bottle neck caused from traffic backing up from the perimeter ring road. Dave
Koski responded that several options were tested regarding that problem, but that
widening the road into Rosedale by 2 additional lanes with a dedicated right turn lane
seemed to be the best solution. George Bestrum added that the outer ring road at Fairview
Avenue would be essentially a 4-lane road
Howard Dahlgren asked when west bound T.H. 36 traffic from Fairview Avenue would be
able to access that highway from that west
haal Was i i he Couns 20-yearf Fairview Avenue rather which han having to
cross to the cast side. In the mean time, all plans should
show the Fairview Avenue intersection as a common intersection with the Tanurb
Development.
h, Doug McChane asked what format would id behelpful helpful fupresenting
s ,rang with mounted to the boards,
Howard Dahigren replied that slides very p
Doug asked if having a sketch or two of interior images woulu be helpful.
