Those plans are in progress and
details of the building materials are not known.
Obviously, the object should be for all of the materials to be
complimentary to one another. Each of the major structures in
the existing Rosedale center are of different material, though
harmonious as a whole. Additional inquiry regarding the Dayton's
store material at the hearing would seem to be appropriate.
Exterior signage on the building is noted on the exterior
elevations. There has been no submission for any change in pylon
signage, so we are assuming that it will remain the same.
Rooftop Equipment
and Trash Handling:
The Development
Plans
g)
as prepared
do not sufficient detail
to illustrate the
exact
handling of the trash facilities for the old and the new Dayton's.
It would seem
appropriate to require that
these be internal.
This
has not been
a problem with the center
as it exists and
should
not be so in
the future.
The screening of rooftop equipment should be provided by a
parapet and/or location near the center of the structures so as to
inhibit eye level vision. This detail is not delineated in the plans
as submitted, but should be discussed at the Public Hearing and a
condition considered to ensure the screening of such rooftop
equipment.
h) Fir . e Marshall Consideration: During the process of reviewing
preliminary plans with the applicants, the Fire Marshall has been
consulted. Thu principle access driveq for the second level of the
parking deck are to be constructed so as to handle the weight
and scale of a fire truck.
