Box 206 Stillwater, Minnesota 55082 RE: Cartwright vs. Wood, et al Our File No. 1011.47 Dear Mr. Schumann: We feel this case can and should be settled without affecting or encroaching upon the record title to Lot 18. The primary concerns which Mrs. Cartwright has expressed are to be sure that she will be able to continue using the sidewalk and retaining wall along the room addition. Secondarily, she is concerned with the four trees and, perhaps, some bushes. We renew our settlement offer at this time: Gary and Judy Wood are wilting to sign a one year (or possibly longer) assignable lease with Mrs. Cartwright, allowing her, her ors and assigns to use and requiring her to maintain the retaining wall and sidewalk. The Woods do not intend to ask that she remove those encroachments from their property or alter the room addition in any way. if Mrs. Cartwright is concerned with some bushes, the Woods will consider moving or replacing any bushes on a trip in dispute know, the Woods Mrs. Cartwright' s own property. Alsoas You intend to leave the four trees in question untouched. if necessary excavation causes any harm to the trees closest t the line, the Woods are willing to replace those o s e e th evergreens which would both look better and provide improved screening. Please convey this offer to Mrs. Cartwright and relay her response.
