Tuesday, JfaY ~ 1st, 1956 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Salverda, Carlson, Kitts, Hammersten, and MeGee. Robert Gearin, Village Attorney <br />and Kilner Carley, Village Engineer were also present. <br /> <br />Carlson Moved. Salverda Seconded the minutes of the last meeting be approved <br />as ,resented. Ron call ","es (S).ìNayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten Moved. Carlson Seconded the bids on cash registers be opened. <br />Roll. call k3es ($)-Nayes (0). <br />The National Cash Register CompaDy was. the onJ.y bidder. The following prices; <br />from National Cash Register CODlPa.IlY' were subaitted: <br />BAR ROOM - two model 6104 (16) RS-Rl-L-2C-2Tr new registers $4130.00 <br />COCKTAIL LOUNGE BAR - one model 6074 (16) RS-RI-L-IC-Pk new register $1830.00 <br />BOTTIE HOUSE - one model 51.1t-4-4-lL (CCX) one new register $1150.00 <br />Alternate bid - one model 2l-6lX-1-4-7 (D) new register $720.00. <br />OFFICE - one modelllKNS new adding machine $415.00. Alternate bid - one <br />model 9KLS new adding machine $340.00. <br />The above includes twelve months unconditional guarantee and complete installation <br />and training of all personnel plus all forms necessary. Roll call q-es (5}-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A Jetter to the Clerk from Northern Pacific Railway was read in answer to a <br />previous request that flasher signals be installed where the Northern Pacific <br />tracks cross Haml1ne Avenu.e. The letter stated that the matter is being <br />investigated--also that as soon as all data has been compiled, the Village <br />will b. advised. <br /> <br />A letter from the Village of Lit.tle Canada stated they would appreciate <br />being advised whether or not. the ViJ.la.ge of Rosevi11.e would be willing to <br />sell twelve voting booths to their Village, since RoseTille has installed <br />voting machines. The Village Clerk will take inventory on the matter and <br />report at the next regular Council. Meeting. <br /> <br />A letter from Attorney" Laurence Nelson" regarding the rezoning of the <br />Warren ShuJ.ze property was read. The letter proposed a compromise between <br />Mr. Shulze and the adjacent owners. Attorney, Fred Memmer, representing <br />the adjacent owners will get together with his clients to go over the <br />comprQmise. The Village A.ttorney will check on the legality of the situation. <br />Kitts Moved, Hammersten Seconded the matter be tabled to the ~ 8, 1956 <br />Council Meeti:rJg.
