McGee was asked to report on an applicant for engineering services by <br />the name of Mr. Dahlgren I'rom St. Peter, Minnesota. '1IcGee stated that the <br />applicant has not been available for an interview as he is being hospital- <br />ized at the present. <br /> <br />The application of Hr. John C. Adams of Little Falls, Minnesota, for Village <br />Engineer has been considered. <br />Kitts Move~1 McGee Seconded the Clerk be authorized to contact Mr. Adams to <br />tell him 'tllat he will be hired at the rate of $8lOO.00 for the remainder of <br />this year. There was question as to the legality of the matter. Roll call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A letter frOJl Bannister Engineering suggested to the Council and recommended <br />that all plans such as shopping centers be careí'u.l1y scrutinized before <br />approval and determining if such plans lend themselves to econó.mical sewer <br />design and construction. <br /> <br />A letter in answer to a request of Carl F. Treaaurer <br /> <br />The Ma¡yor requested the Clerk to set up the time clock and advise all paid Time Clock <br />by the hour personnel to use it statting Ma¡y 2, 1956. It was suggested that <br />Lt. Johnston of the Police Department need not punch the clock when wor1dng <br />on his records. <br /> <br />Mayor Kitts stated he was of the èpinion that the Police Department should <br />notify the Council for approval before taking such actions as sett~ up 8; <br />twenty-four hour Police patrol schedule. The Mayor will notify the Chief <br />of Police that there shall be no further changes made untU the Council has <br />acted upon such matters-. <br /> <br />A representative of the North Star Little Leagu Base Ball team appeared <br />before the Council at its April 10, 1956 meeting with a request to have <br />fences erected in the fom of signs in their ball park. At that time the <br />Council requested that a written consent of all adjacent owners be presented <br />to the Council before action would be taken. The representative was to <br />appear befcre the Council at this meeting to explain the League's action as <br />they did not comp],y wi th the Council's request.
