Bossard <br />and. Roberts Construction Co., Mr. Olson, Hr. May, and Mr. Lanoux be requested <br />to appear before the next regular Council Meeting. Roll call .A¡œ8 (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A letter from Bannister Engineering to the Village Couneil stated that they Ideal Brass; <br />have been asked bY' the Ideal. Brass; Company's new plant BOW under construction, <br />when and if the sewer system will be available to their plant. Bannister Eng- <br />ineering is of the opinion that there should be no reason w~ the Village can- <br />not permit them to discharge into the sewer. It is suggested by Bannis~r <br />Engineei:ing t.b.at Idea1 Brass Compan;y discuss this matter vi t.h George Sheppard, <br />Chief Engineer of the Department of Public Works in St. Paul.. <br /> <br />Civil <br />Defense <br /> <br />A letter from. the Village Engineer to the Council was read regarding the Street Const. <br />construction of Pascal Avenue and Sou.th of County Road B. The letter stated <br />that in. 1955 the Village was confronted with a serious drainage problem in <br />connection with the area. This was taken care of and an easement was given <br />to the V1l1age with the understanding that the portion of Pascal Avenue <br />mentioned in the letter would be regraded in its proper location. The Engineer <br />suggested the Village undertake the project using its own force as it is con- <br />venient to do so. It will alse be necessary- to obtain one more easement OR <br />the East side of Pascal in order to cømplete the project. No action was taken. <br /> <br />A letter from the Village Engineer stated that an investigatiøD has been Drainage <br />made regarding the drainage problem. located on Grandview East of Lexington , Problem <br />in reference to a complaint made at the April 17 1956 Council Meeting by' <br />Mr. Magnuson. Hr:-. Carley offered two solutions to the problem. No action <br />was taken. <br /> <br />Mr. George Jacobsen app8ared before the Council with a reEfllest to put :in <br />a driveway on to Lovell Street. Mr. Anton Reiling was also concerned with <br />a drainage problem. on his property resulting :from the construction of' Love~~ <br />8treet. The matters were referred to the Engineer for report at the May" 8th <br />Council Meeting. <br /> <br />.An attorney appeared in behalf of Robe~tl6 Construction Company in referrence <br />to re~ease of a cash bond concerned with-the development of a street located <br />in Roseda1e Terrace. <br />McGee Moved, Hammersten Seconded the attorney- and engineer report at the next <br />Council meetiDg after a survey has been made.
