C. STRUCTURAL <br />1. A PRE—ENGINEERED METAL STRUCTURE WITH CEMENT BLOCK AND METAL CLAD <br />WALLS I'D MATC14 EXISTING FACILITY WILL BE THE METHOD OF BUILDING <br />CONSTRUCTION. THE EXISTING REAR SIDEWALl (E) WILL BE DIS-MANTLED, <br />IF POSSIBLE, AND RE —ERECTED ON THE WAREHOUSE ADDITION (SAME SIDE). <br />2. THE ROOF SYSTEM WILL BE THE SAME TYPE AS THE CURRENT FACILITY. <br />ROOF DECKING MAY BE EITHER METAL (26 GA. STEEL) OR EQUTALENT, <br />20—YEAR WARRANTED AND SHALL HAVE A U.L. CLASS 90 WIND UPLIFT <br />RATING. THE CURRENT ROOF SYSTEM CONSISTS OF THE ORIGINAL METAL <br />ROOF PLUS AN OVERLAID NEW STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF. <br />3. ROOF EXIIAUSTERS, SMOKE VENTS, DRAFT CURTAINS (SECTION 3206, UNI— <br />FORM BUILDING CODE), DOWNSPOUTS AND GUTTER$ WILL BE INSTALLED, IF <br />REQUIRED, TO CONFORM WITH APPLICABLE BUILDING CODES. <br />4. WALLS AND ROOF WILL BE INSULATE► WITH 2" THICK 6 LB. DENSITY U.L. <br />RATED WHITE VINYL FIBERGLASS INSULATION WITH 4" ALUMINUM RETAINER <br />STRIPS, OR AS REQUIRED FOR MINNESOTA CLIMATIC CONDITIONS. <br />5. COLUMNS WILL BE STRUCTURAL GRADE STEEL, PER ASTM-36 SPECIFICATONS. <br />BAY SPACING MAY EITHER BE COMPARABLE TO CURRENT FACILITY OR 30'X <br />40" WHICHEVER IS MOST ECONOMICAL. DETERMINE IF EXISTING REAR SIDE <br />WALL CAN BE REMOVED AND RE —INSTALLED ON EXPANDED END OF BUILDING. <br />6. BUILDING CURRENTLY HAS HEAT/SMOKE DETECTOR SYSTEM. AS SEPARATE <br />OPTION, QUOTE PRICE FOR INSTALLATION OF OVERHEAD FIRE —SPRINKLER <br />SYSTEM (FIRE ZONE NO. 3, TYPE II—N BUILDING) IN EXISTING WAREHOUSE <br />AND OFFICE PLUS WAREHOUSE ADDITION — MUST MEET U.F.C., MINNESOTA <br />AND LOCAL CODES, PLUS FACTORY MUTUAL APPROVAL. <br />7. FOUR (4) NEW CHAIN—OPI=RATED DOCK LEVELERS AND DOCK SHELTERS WILL <br />BE INSTALLED IN THE EXISTING TRUCK DOCK AREA. <br />8. ONE (1) CHAIN —OPERATED, 8' X 10' OVERHEAD SCAVENGER DOCK DOOR WILL <br />BE INSTALLED IN THE NEW WAREHOUSE ADDITION. <br />9. OUTSIDE ENTRIES, INCLUDING STEPS, WILL BE INSTALLED AS REQUIRED TO <br />COMPLY WITH LOCAL BUILDING CODES AS PART OF FINAL BUILDING DESIGN. <br />10. OVERALL BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FIRE <br />PROTECTION FEATURES, WILL COMPLY WITH FACTORY MUTUAL INSURANCE <br />REQUIREMENTS. <br />11.
