Charles Shuster
Charles Shuster is the Chief Operations Officer of Arthur
Shuster, Inc.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business
from the University of Minnesota, Charles went to work
with a large Minneapolis real estate company. In 1972,
he joined Arthur Shuster, Inc. as a salesman, specializing
in the hospitality area of the business. Under Charles'
leadership, the Company expanded its business in the hos-
pitality area by securing jobs with major hotel franchises
such as Holiday Inns, Sheratons and Best Westerns.
In 1982, with the business growing, there was a need to
structure a more controlled and formalized operations pro-
gram to which Charles turned his efforts. Under his di-
rection, the Company has taken major strides in the develop-
ment of cost control and internal reporting systems which
have lead to increased profits.
Charles' current responsibilities of the overall management
of internal operations include the development of company
budgets and cost control systems, department structure and
reporting lines, legal and financial contract administration
and the development of benefits programs for the Company.
In addition to these responsibilities and due to his previous
experience in the hospitality market, Charles is leading the
development if The Oakcrest Purchasing Group, a subsidiary
company serving the economy/limited service hotel -motel in-
dustry.
