March 28, 1988 <br />Mr. Howard Dahlgren <br />300 First Avenue North <br />Suite #210 <br />Minneapolis, MN 55401 <br />RE: Special Use Permit for Midland Scier Ific of Minnesota, <br />Inc. <br />Dear Howard: <br />We are requesting a Special Use Permit for Midland Scientific <br />at the Patton Road location because the city of Roseville has <br />changed, -or is in the process of changing, their zoning laws. <br />It is my understanding that the new zoning laws would allow <br />a Special Use Permit for this company to relocate to an I2 zoning,, <br />such as the Patton Road location. It is also my understanding <br />that the city will no longer issue Special Use Permits for this <br />type of company to locate in an 11 zoning. <br />Midland Scientific would lease approximately 4200 square feet <br />of office/warehouse at the Patton Road location. Approximately <br />1,500 square feet would be office and 2700 square feet warehouse. <br />Both the office and warehouse area are sprinkled in accordance <br />with city codes. <br />Midland Scientific employs six people at this time. <br />This company purchases laboratory equipment, chemicals, cleaning <br />products, and laboratory supplies and in turn sells these products <br />to business customers.
