As you may know, Group W Cable leases the former school <br />building from School District 6.23. In conjunction with this <br />lease the city has been granted the use of the approximately 5 <br />acres of land to the south of the building for- softball fields. <br />Our parking area is often used by the teams using this Field. <br />Addit ionaly, in ccioper,:,c i� �n with the condominium asses -ciat icin <br />located west of the property we have provided landscapping in <br />addition to that required by the special use permit. This <br />landscapping was provided in conjuction with an over-all <br />beutification program being carried out by this condominiurn <br />asses^iation. Our contribution was 12 spruce trees planted along <br />the property boundary. We worked with the city and the <br />condominiurn association to resolve a drainage problem that <br />exhisted before our- use of this site. It is a result of this <br />positive communication and cooperation with our neighbors that <br />prompt the changes on the west side of our building. <br />Lastly, our, landscape plan is preliminary because we have <br />scheduled a meeting with out- neighbors to seek their input -::in <br />the final plan. This finalized plan will be available prior to <br />the planning and Zoning Commission meeting October ist. <br />In conclusion, Group W Cable, the City of Roseville and our <br />neighbors have participated in a remarkable experiment utilizing <br />the often difficult task of making a worthwhile contribution out <br />a former school building.
