As you may know, Group W Cable leases the former school building from School District 6.23. In conjunction with this lease the city has been granted the use of the approximately 5 acres of land to the south of the building for- softball fields. Our parking area is often used by the teams using this Field. Addit ionaly, in ccioper,:,c i� �n with the condominium asses -ciat icin located west of the property we have provided landscapping in addition to that required by the special use permit. This landscapping was provided in conjuction with an over-all beutification program being carried out by this condominiurn asses^iation. Our contribution was 12 spruce trees planted along the property boundary. We worked with the city and the condominiurn association to resolve a drainage problem that exhisted before our- use of this site. It is a result of this positive communication and cooperation with our neighbors that prompt the changes on the west side of our building. Lastly, our, landscape plan is preliminary because we have scheduled a meeting with out- neighbors to seek their input -::in the final plan. This finalized plan will be available prior to the planning and Zoning Commission meeting October ist. In conclusion, Group W Cable, the City of Roseville and our neighbors have participated in a remarkable experiment utilizing the often difficult task of making a worthwhile contribution out a former school building.
