r—,...... -,i <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 5/12/86 <br />Department AP roval: <br />ITEM NO.: <br />Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Hearings <br />Item Description: Don PouZard request for Special Use Permit and <br />Variance at 1329 Larpenteur Avenue West. <br />The Planning Commission, at its May 7, 1986 meeting, unanimously <br />recommended approval of the Don Poupard request for Special Use <br />Permit and variance at 1329 Larpenteur Avenue West. The Special <br />Use Permit is required for the auto repair activity, and the <br />variance is for a rear yard setback of ten feet versus the required <br />twenty feet. <br />The Planning Commission attached the following conditions: <br />1. Dedication of ten feet of right-of-way on Hamline Avenue. <br />2. Construction of two catch basins within the parking area, as <br />per Engineering staff recommendation. <br />3. Construction of sidewalks on Hamline and Larpenteur Avenues. <br />4. Parking in driveway areas to be curbed as required. <br />5. Finish masonry materials to be same on all four sides of the <br />structure. <br />6. Final engineering and landscape plans subject to staff review. <br />7. Special Use Permit is limited to proposed operation of tire <br />sales, engine tuning, and minor engine repair work. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion approving/denying Don Poupard request for Special Use Permit <br />and Variance at 1329 Larpenteur Avenue West with the above cundi- <br />tions if so desired. <br />
