1 The anticipated school day demand of 710 stalls compares very favorably with the current supply of 725 stalls. However, the design on -campus parking demand, to be used for planning purposes, Is anticipated to occur on weekends with: 50% of the resident students remaining on campus, 2,000 spectators watching a basketball In game the proposed Life and Health Fitness Center, and 1,400 persons attending a conference -seminar at Maranatha Hai I. The parking demand is estimated as follows: Resident Students (470 stalls) (50%) 235 stalls Maranatha Hal I (1,400 seats) (0.3 spaces/seat) 420 .stalls Basketball Game (2,000 seats) (0.3 spaces/seat) 60-stalls Total Parking Design Demand. 1,255 stalls The 0.3 parking space/seat requirement for events at Maranatha Hall and the Life and Health Fitness Center, although a recommended minimum design standard, is felt to be reasonable and prudent since: ' a) No additional reduction in parking demand is provided for on -campus students, whose vehicles are already on campus, who would be attending one of the events. b) No additional reduction in parking demand is provided for the use of buses to get persons to either event. 1 The Amended PUD PI an for Northwestern Col I ege ul ti mate I y proposes the addition of 565 parking stalls throughout the campus with over 300 of these stal Is I ocated on the Rosev i 1 I e portion of the campus, as shown on Exhibit A, In the following new facilities: 1.
