to present to the City Council at the September 25, 1995 meeting. What these plans
show is a building that is set back well beyond the setback requirements for both
shoreline of Little Lake Johanna and the beginning of the slope leading to the lake.
It shows a building footprint that has reduced in size from 60,000 sq. ft. to
29,000 sq. ft. and shows a building height that is overall 1 foot lower than suggested
in 1986. It also uidicates that the parking plans and storm ponding plans for 1995
are virtually the same as those approved in concept in 1986.
The principal concerns for the Rice Creek Watershed District are the 4 areas of
erosion noted on the attached plan from TKDA. That plan also indicates the
comments made by Mr. Eklin during the walk-through of the site. Northwestern
College president Don Ericksen has indicated to me the college's willingness to take
the corrective measures recommended by Mr. Eklin, both at the time of the walk-
through and in h-is attached letter.
