,. <br />%,U,I„uuni[y vevelopment Dept. <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Date: September 20, 1995 <br />To: Dennis Welsch <br />From: Mike Falk <br />Subject: Northwestern College Physical Education Center <br />490-2236 <br />Following the September 11, 1995 Council meeting, City staff, representatives from <br />Northwestern College, the architects from the physical education center, the <br />building contractor, the Rice Creek Watershed District inspector, and Mr. Tim <br />Kallahan, met on the Northwestern College campus in the area of the constructs of the new physical education center. This meeting took place Wednesday,on <br />September 13, 1995. The purpose of the meetng was to understand the scope of <br />the project and to create a specific checklist of items that must be completed in <br />order to gain Rice Creek Watershed District approval. 15 people were involved in <br />the meeting and the site walk-through lasted approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. <br />s During the' walk-tlirough, 4 areas of erosion were noted by Mr. Dale Emir the Ri <br />Creek inspector as areas that would need attention. His recommendations for ce <br />conditions of approval are attached to this memo in a letter dated September 18 <br />1995. , <br />Also included with this memo is additional information requested by the City <br />Council and prepared by TKDA, the college's architect for the physical education <br />center project. This information includes the following: <br />1. A comparison of the landscape plans (1986 vs. 1995) <br />2. A comparison of the grading plans (1986 vs. 1995) <br />3. A comparison of the parking plans (1986 vs. 1995) <br />4. A comparison of stone ponding plans (1986 vs. 1995) <br />5. A comparison of building mass (1986 vs. 1995) <br />6. A comparison of building height (1986 vs. 1995) <br />In addition, the architect is preparing a scale model of the building and the site plan <br />
