f
The area of ground covered by concrete for roads and parking lots
is excessive. The percentage of area covered by building will
effectively exhaust, with this plan, the future development in
Roseville of t:ze college. It hardly seems appropriate to take in one
stroke of the pen without careful consideration for the entire
community and the college, the future development potential of
the area.
There is no reason to believe that the quiet streets and
walking areas, the wild animals and birds, or even the fish will
long survive to reflect the present nature of this area of Roseville.`.
Overdevelopment of these few acres is going to impact the entire
area and, if it is determined to go ahead, should only be done
after careful consideration.
While petitioners feel that we want to have a careful study
of the impact of the college on Roseville, Roseville does not live
in a vacuum either and must consider that what they do here;
the decisions which are made, will have as much impact on our
neighboring towns, villages and communities, as what the college
is doing or proposing to do will have on our residential, and
for the present, countrified neighborhood.
