—2_
The existing driveway and parking area is currently situated so no new
driveway construction is necessary. The existing detached garage and small
utility shed will be dismantled and permanently removed. The existing
concrete garage slab will also be removed and replaced with sod.
The construction of the garage/entry addition to the back (street side) of the
house will require the removal of one red oak tree, 20 inches in diameter.
This tree wi?1 be replaced by at least one newly planted tree when
construction is completed. The backyard (street side) has 10 existing large
trees averaging 6 to 20 inches in diameter.
The proposed open deck on the front (lake side) will greatly improve the
appearance of the house from the lake, while providing a means for us to
reasonably use and enjoy this property. As is the case on the back (street
side) of the house, the windows, door, and trim are in need of repair or
replacement. The elevation of the house and proposed open deck is
sufficiently above the high water line so that this addition will not detract
from the appearance or value of the property, but along with new windows,
doors, and shrubs, will actually enhance it. The front yard (lake side)
currently has b existing large trees 10-20 inches in diameter and no tree
removal is necessary.
Our plans for these additions have been reviewed by our immediate neighbors on
the west and east sides of our property. They have no objections to our
proposed additions and have signed statements to that effect. These
statements are attached to this letter.
Construction would begin as soon as a variance is granted and the required
building permits are obtained,
Thank you for considering our request.
James A.
