ACTION DATE: _ 12/10/84 <br />AGENDA SECTION: <br />ORIGINATING DEPT./DIV.: <br />DEPT.HEAD APPROVAL. <br />Hearings Administration A� <br />ITEM NO.: ITEM DESCRIPTIONS First Grand Avenue Liquors, Inc, re ue5t for M �F • special use permit and variances at 3114 0 q VIEWED/RECOMMENDS: <br />Old Highway 8. �� <br />The Planning Commission, at its December 5 meeting, unanimously recommended <br />approval of First Grand Avenue Liquor s, Inc. request for special use permit <br />for off -sale liquor store and variance to west side yard parking setback. <br />at 3114 Old Highway 8, with the following conditions: <br />1) That additional right-of-way be dedicated along County Road D to <br />provide a total of 49.5 feet of right-of-way. <br />2) That exterior materials be approved by City staff. <br />3) That the grading and drainage plans be approved by City staff. <br />4) That the landscaping plans be approved by City staff. <br />5) That the project be constructed according to revised plans per <br />the Planning Commission discussion which includes a reduction of <br />10 feet on the east side of the building, and addition of five <br />feet on the south side of the building, curbing of the entire <br />parking area and deletion of parking spaces within the front <br />yard setback area. <br />Attached is the Planner's report and a letter from the Attorney for the <br />neighbor to the east. <br />Because the hearing on the liquor license application will not be held <br />until January 14, 1985, it is recommended the Council conduct the hearing <br />on the special use permit at this time, but continue final action until the <br />January 14 meeting so that the special use permit and liquor license <br />applications can be handled at the same time. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion continuing First Grand Avenue Liquors <br />request for special use permit for off -sale <br />liquor store, and variance to allow parking to <br />within five feet of the west side property line <br />at 3114 Old Highway 8 to the January 14, 1985 <br />Council Meeting. <br />
