INFORMATION SERVICE <br />-League of Minnesota Cities <br />.480 Cedar Street <br />St. Paul, Minnesota 55101 <br />AN ORDWANCE 78-0r-22s <br />By Alderman DeMars <br />Amending Title 14, Chapter 362 <br />of the Minneapolis Code of <br />Ordinances relating to Liquor <br />and Beer: Liquor Licenses. <br />The City 'Council of the City <br />of Minneapolis de ordain as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. That Section 362.400 of <br />the above entitled 'ordinance be <br />amended to read as follows: <br />" 362.400. Proximity to schools <br />and churches. No liquor license <br />shall be issued for any building, <br />room, or place within three hun. <br />dyed (300) feet from any <br />BUILDING THAT IS USED <br />PRIMARILY AND REGULARLY <br />FOR ,ANY public or parochial <br />school OR USED PRIMARILY <br />AND REGULARLY FOR ANY <br />church, said distance to be <br />measured in a straight line from <br />the building in which such school <br />or church is conducted to the main <br />Public entrance of the premises for <br />which license is sought. However, <br />5y affirmative vote of a majority <br />of all the members of the council,' <br />any licenses which were in force on <br />April 1, 1937, for premises more <br />than one hundred fifty (150) feet, <br />but less than three hundred (300) <br />feet from any such school or <br />church (measured as above set <br />forth) may be renewed or new <br />license for such premises may be <br />issued." <br />Passed October 27,1978.
