INFORMATION SERVICE <br />League of Mi ndesota Cities <br />480 Cedar Street <br />St. Paul, MN 55101 <br />B <br />u <br />'360 6 3'b <br />MALE GROVE <br />ORDINANCE NO.21-15 <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />800 OF THE 1976 ORDINANCE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF MAPLE GROVE TO <br />PERMIT THE ISSUANCE OF A <br />SPECIAL PERMIT FOR ON -SALE <br />BEER IN AREAS IN THE PROX- <br />IMITY, OF SCHOOLS AND <br />CHURCHES. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF MAPLE GROVE DOES ORDAIN: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section <br />800:15, Subd. 7 of the 1976 Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Maple Grove is <br />hereby amended to hereinafter read as <br />follows: <br />Section 800:15, Subd. 7. Proximity to• <br />Schools and Churches. Excepting as se' - <br />forth hereinafter, an on -sale tavern, <br />club or beer license may not be granted <br />• to operate at or in any building or place <br />within 500 feet of any school building or <br />church building within the City. <br />Notwithstanding the aforesaid, a <br />"special permit on -sale license" for Ae <br />sale of beer within said school or church <br />area may be issued upon an applicattui <br />therefor being duly approved by -the <br />Council. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. Section <br />800:50, Subd. (d) of the 1976 Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Maple Grove is <br />hereby amended to hereinafter read as <br />follows: <br />Section 800:50, Subd. (d). A "special <br />permit on -sale license" for the sale of <br />beer may be issued -by the Council for <br />the sale of beer for a designated period <br />of time not to exceed five (5) days to <br />any of the following: non-profit cor- <br />porations; persons, groups or associa- <br />tio- s which donate profits to charitable <br />org inizations or institutions; social <br />organizations; lodges; labor unions; <br />chutches; other similar persons or <br />groups. Notwithstanding any other <br />provision of this ordinance, the fees for <br />a "special permit on -sale license" may <br />be waived by the Council. <br />SECTION .t. P1=NALTY. Any person <br />who shall vioiatL oily of the provisions <br />of ttlis ordinance shall be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor: <br />SECTION 4. EFFECT.
