1
12-MONTH
COOPERATIVE HONORS
SECRETARIAL PROGRAM
Another feature of the curriculum is a special cooperative work/student program offered
by the school and sponsored by local business firms. Offered to students with either an
academic or business background, this program includes a combination of classroom
sessions and office work. Participants receive a monthly income, which can defray the
program cost of those who wish to assume their own financial responsibility.
Highly specialized, the cooperative program offers considerable personal attention by
instructors since most classroom work is done on an individual progression basis. For this
reason, initial acceptance is highly competitive. All applicants for the ten-month secretarial
program will be considered for the co-op program.
Consideration will be on a first -come, first -served basis. For this reason, early application
for admission to the school is strongly recommended. Selection will be based on evaluation
of high school academic records, attendance and personal interview. (Final selection for
Co-op is made by the employer.)
BENEFITS OF THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM...
—Earning while learning.
—Potential of immediate job with Co-op employer.
—Practical real -life learning in a professional business atmosphere.
—Early exposure to legal, medical, or executive work environments.
—Cooperative Program studen:.3 may also apply for other forms of financial aid.
—710 Classroom instructional hours.
—Builds confidence and professionalism.
1
1
1
1
1
H
1
1
0
1
