The Commission agreed that exploring multiple options would be best, as this could ensure <br />flexible options that would meet the current and future park needs of the community. <br /> <br />c) SWOT ANALYSIS OF PARKS AND RECREATION SYSTEM <br />The Commission agreed to reflect on the SWOT analysis over the next month and bring their <br />thoughts to the March, 2024 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. <br /> <br />5. OTHER BUSINESS <br />a)DEPARTMENTAL UPDATES <br /> The city has received the Active Transportation Program Planning Grant. The grant allows an <br />opportunity for the city to further develop its active living non-vehicular transportation plan. <br />Staff anticipates there will be a public component to the grant and invited a member of the <br />Commission to participate in the process. Staff noted that they will be providing further <br />information in the coming days. <br /> The Spring/Summer brochure will be in homes the final week of February. Program <br />registration will open March 5. <br /> The pickleball courts at Evergreen Parkand the Cedarholm Golf Course were able to open <br />and will remain open as weather permits. <br /> The Sweetheart Dance will be on February 23 at the Roseville Skating Center from 6:15- <br />8:15p.m. Children ages 3-12 (with adult) are invited to attend this fun event! <br /> The March, 2024 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will be the final meeting for <br />Commissioners Baggenstoss and Ybarra. Staff encouraged anyone interested in serving on <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission to apply for the open positions. <br /> <br /> <br />b) OTHER NEW OR RELEVANT COMMUNICATION AND UPDATE ITEMS <br /> <br /> <br />6.
