This option could potentially restrict future growth. <br /> Small amenity replacement near site <br />o Potentially acquire smaller parcels that are located near the current park <br /> <br />The Commission discussed locations of potential parcels that could be acquired. <br /> <br /> Large parcel strategy <br />o Identify a large parcel to develop a new park <br /> Currently a lack of remaining large parcels <br /> Would have to identify funding for when an opportunity becomes <br />available <br /> Shared use space with Roseville School District <br />o Potential with land adjacent to Parkview School <br /> <br />The Commission discussed and shared their appreciation of this potential idea. <br /> <br /> Amenity Upgrades: <br />o Add field lighting (longer play) <br />o Artificial turf (more play without damage) earlier season <br />o Re-planning/modernizing existing space needs at other parks <br />o Develop underutilized parcels <br /> <br />The Commission discussed underutilized parcels and the challenges of parking availability near <br />parkland. <br /> <br />Commissioner Raygor mentioned the idea of potentially adding a dog park on underutilized <br />parkland. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brown asked about Valley Park and suggested that the baseball field may be <br />underutilized at this park.
