1 City of Roseville <br />2 ORDINANCE NO. <br />3 <br />4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />5 <br />6 TITLE 8, SECTION 802.15 <br />7 <br />8 AMENDING TITLE 8, SECTION 802.15 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE TO <br />9 UPDATE AND CLARFY REQUIRMENTS RELATED TO THE DISCHARGE OF FAT, <br />10 OILS, AND GREASE. <br />11 <br />12 THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br />13 <br />14 SECTION 1: Title 8, Section 802.15 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as <br />15 follows: <br />16 <br />17 802.15: DISCHARGE OF FATS, OILS AND GREASE: <br />18 A. Definitions: The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the <br />19 meaning: <br />20 <br />21 1.Best Management Practice or BMP: Fats, Oils and Grease or FOG BMP’s are the most <br />22 effective and practicable means of controlling, preventing, and minimizing the <br />23 discharge of FOG into the City’s public sanitary sewer system including the installation <br />24 of devices, device maintenance, training or any other practice that reduces FOG. <br />25 <br />26 2.Food Service Establishments or FSE means any facility containing an operation that <br />27 prepares, packages, serves, vends or otherwise provides food or which disposes of food <br />28 related wastes. Food service facility does not include single or multifamily residential <br />29 facilities unless commercial kitchens, which are licensed by Ramsey County Public <br />30 Health, are present, but does include institutional facilities and other facilities <br />31 designated by the Public Works Director or their designee, as a facility that discharges <br />32 enough FOG to have significant impact on the City’s public sanitary sewer system. <br />33 <br />34 3.Fats, Oils and Grease or FOG: means material composed primarily of fats, oils and <br />35 grease from animal or vegetable sources. <br />36 <br />37 4.Food manufacturer/processor or FM/P means those establishments using methods and <br />38 techniques to transform raw ingredients into food for human consumption. <br />39 <br />40 5.Grease interceptor means grease retention units of the outdoor or underground type <br />41 with a 1,000- to 3,000-gallon capacity.
