46 Council. (Ord. 891, 12-14-1981) <br />47 <br />48 E.Permit Required: No person shall drill any well without first obtaining a permit from the <br />49 City and the Minnesota Department of Health. Application for such permit shall state the <br />50 character, location and size of the proposed well. The permit fee shall be set by City <br />51 Council resolution. (Ord. 891, 12-14-1981) <br />52 <br />53 F. Requirements For Issuance: The Director of Public Works Director shall issue such permits <br />54 only if one of the following exists: <br />55 <br />56 1. The well will only serve one single-family residence, and the use of the Municipal <br />57 system would create a health problem for the occupants of such single-family <br />58 dwelling. <br />59 <br />60 2. The well is to be used for monitoring purposes only and will be abandoned in <br />61 accordance with State regulations at a set future date. <br />62 <br />63 3. All other wells shall require a permit from the City Council. The City Council will <br />64 issue such permits only after a determination that the private well will not interfere <br />65 with the Municipal system and that the property cannot be served by the existing <br />66 Municipal system. (Ord. 891, 12-14-1981; 1995 Code) <br />67 <br />68 4. Upon the completion of the drilling of each and every well, the well driller shall <br />69 notify the Chief Code Enforcement Officer Building Official and shall furnish the <br />70 Chief Code Enforcement Officer Building Official with Minnesota Department of <br />71 Health approved well records. with a visual pumping test of sufficient duration to <br />72 determine the yield which shall be of a minimum rate of ten (10) gallons per minute. <br />73 Within ten days after such a test of a well, the well driller shall file an affidavit <br />74 with the Chief Code Enforcement Officer setting forth the results of the test, the <br />75 capacity of the well, the pumping level, the depth of casing from grade and a <br />76 description of the screen or rock formation. (Ord. 276, 5-19-1959; 1995 Code) <br />77 <br />78 G. Well Pumps: No person shall install or replace a pump without first obtaining a permit to <br />79 do so. Application for a permit to install or replace a pump for a well shall be made in <br />80 writing to the Chief Code Enforcement Officer Building Official and shall state the <br />81 manufacturer, type, horsepower, and rating of the proposed pump to be installed or <br />82 replaced. The permit fee shall be set by City Council resolution. (Ord. 873, 12-22-1980; <br />83 1995 Code) (Ord 1590, 10-12-2020) <br />84 <br />85 SECTION 2: Effective date.
