Permit Required: No person shall drill any well without first obtaining a permit from the <br /> City and the Minnesota Department of Health. Application for such permit shall state the <br /> character, location and size of the proposed well. The permit fee shall be set by City <br /> Council resolution established in the City fee schedule in Section 314.053. {Ord. 891, 12 <br /> 14 1981) <br /> F. Requirements For Issuance:The Director of Public Works Director shall issue such permits <br /> only if one of the following exists: <br /> 1. The well will only serve one single family residence, and the use of the Municipal <br /> dwelling. <br /> 1. The well is to be used for monitoring purposes only and will be abandoned in <br /> accordance with State regulations at a set future date. <br /> 2. All other wells shall require a permit from the City Council. The City Council will <br /> issue such permits only after a determination that the private well will not interfere <br /> with the Municipal municipal system and that the property cannot be served by the <br /> existing Municipal municipal system. Application for a permit to install or replace a pump for a well shall be made in <br /> writing to the Chief Code Enforcement Officer Building Official and shall state the <br /> manufacturer, type, horsepower, and rating of the proposed pump to be installed or <br /> replaced. The permit fee shall be set by City Council resolution established in the City fee <br /> schedule in Section 314.053.
