Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />DATE: March 26, 2024 ITEM: 6.a. <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Bike Plan Update <br />Background <br />Roseville was awarded an Active Transportation Planning Assistance grant from MnDOT that Roseville will <br />use to create a bike plan that complements our existing Pathway Master Plan. A bike plan will identify and <br />prioritize where we want different bicycle facilities (on -road bike lane, protected bike lane, etc.) and help us <br />apply for funding to implement bicycle infrastructure. A committee has been identified to aid Roseville <br />Engineering in the plan's development, with the assistance of a MnDOT consultant team, and consists of <br />representatives from various City departments and commissions, Roseville Public Schools, Ramsey County, <br />and a Roseville Resident. The planning process will take 10-12 months, will engage residents, business <br />owners, and other stakeholder groups, and will include a demonstration project. <br />Recommendation <br />Receive update and provide feedback to staff. <br />Attachments <br />None <br />Page 25 of 140 <br />
