Other agency project updates: o Th 36 Multimodal Study (MNDOT) • Update to be presented to City Council April 22, 2024. o TH 36 Mill and Overlay from Cleveland to Edgerson Street (MnDOT) • Notes below from recent MnDOT presentation: • Six full weekend directional closures from I35W to Hwy 61. • 10-day ramp closure westbound TH36 to southbound 135 W • 30-day ramp closure northbound Cleveland to eastbound TH36 Dale Street 4-3 Conversion from Lovell Avenue into St. Paul (Ramsey County) • Plans going to bid soon for construction this year. County Road C from Lexington Avenue into Little Canada (Ramsey County) • Project team meetings have begun. Public open house anticipated late May. Council Updates: o Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City Council. More information can be found in the agenda packets and minutes for the referenced Council meetings: April 8, 2024 • Ordinance Amendment Chapter 801: Private Water Supplies • Approved Professional Services Agreement for McCarron Retaining Wall Project • Appointed two youth commissioners to PWET (Carsten and Alexis) • Approved Service Agreement for City Facilities Garbage Services • Awarded Construction Contract for 2024 Sewer Lining Project • Awarded Construction Contract for County Road B Reconstruction and PMP Project • Awarded 2024-2026 BMP Maintenance Program Agreement April 15, 2024 • Recognized Ramsey County Ditch 4 Construction Soils Study Award • Received Ramsey County Presentation on County Road B 4:3 lane project • Approved releasing request for quotes for residential recycling carts purchase • Received Forestry Program and EAB update April 22, 2024 • Receive presentation from MnDOT regarding the TH 36 Multimodal Transportation Study Consider Approval of Community Aspirations and Authorize Next Steps for Receiving Strategic Planning Proposals Engineering Updates: o The Assistant City Engineer posting is now closed, and interviews are being set up. o Five seasonal interns will join us for the summer, beginning in May. Sustainability Updates: o Roseville was awarded Bronze designation in the new Charging Smart program (formerly known as EV Smart Communities). This program will be launching nationwide later in 2024, making Roseville one of the first designees in the nation to this program promoting EV- readiness, which is a sister program to SolSmart Staff attended a celebratory program on Wednesday, April 17, where cities in the first cohort were recognized. • Page 2 Page 11 of 69
