<br />· 3 .. <br /> <br />The matter was referred to the Engineer, Ed Bather, fer a report at the <br />next council meeting. <br /> <br />A letter was read from Attorney, Thomas ScalI en in relatiøn to the attempt <br />made by Mr. Gerbitz to construct a concrete m.at on his property which would <br />extend beyond five feet from the property line inunediate1y adjacent owned by <br />the Attorney's Client, Theeåore Meinz. According to the letter permissien <br />to construct the mat on such a location would cause a considera~le annoyance <br />to Mr.. Heinz and would result in a nuisance. <br /> <br />Mrs. Philip LaHue of 1a44 Roselawn Avenue appeared in protest to the Planning <br />Cømmission's Hearing recently held en the Comprehensive Plan for the Village. <br />She asked that another hearing date be set and that a reproductien of the plan <br />be submitted to the Rese Tribune, St. Paul Dispatch, and Minneapolis Tribune <br />for the citizens w be able to study, the reason being that in her øpinion <br />the hearing date was not publicized properly. The Clerk will obtain prices <br />from the three papers mentioned for reproductien of the plan. <br /> <br />Berbitz <br />Driveway <br /> <br />Comprehensive <br />Village llan <br /> <br />Fairview Hills <br />Plat <br /> <br />B. H. Loftsgaarden appeared in behalf ef Mr. & Mrs Blekkink, Ow"llers of the <br />proposed Fairview Hills Plat. Previously the Planning Cemmission suggested <br />a rearrangement of l.ts and roads on the original plat submitted. Hr. Lofts- <br />gaarden pointed out that a rearrangement did not work out satisfactory due <br />to adj acent commercial pI'Gperty and a change in size of roads. <br />Hammersten Moved, Carlson Seconded the plat as originally submitted be accepted <br />and approved. Roll Call Ayes (4)- Nayes (l)-Kitts oppèsed. <br /> <br />George Seaberg of' 2240 St. Stephen asked what has been done to correct the Drainage <br />drainage problem at Leng Lake Road and Laurie Road. Mr. Seaberg reported that <br />the· drainage has become worse and that the state has recent1y completed a drain- <br />age project in the location which is now causing drainage flow into a vacant <br />lot on T.H.36. <br />Mr. Lindberg, concerned with the same condition reported tha.t Mr. Mueller, <br />a developer of property in the area, told him that a place for disposal is <br />up to the Village of ~seville. <br />MCGee Movedi Hammersten Seconded that Mr. Mueller be contacted tø attend the <br />next CGunci meeting to discuss the matter if a proper answer is not received <br />from the State by that time. Rail Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Arthur Gra.nð¡y of 1707 Shryer reported that when a building permit was issued Garage <br />to him for the construction of his home in September of 1954, his plans Setback <br />called for a garage with an eight foot setback from the side of his lot line <br />(corner lot) The Inspector has informed Mr. Grandy that the eight foot set- <br />back does not confo~ with the present requirements. <br />Hammersten Moved, CarlsQn Seconded that Mr. Grandy be granted permission te <br />deviate from. the existing regulations in this case and a permit be given to <br />proceed with constructian. Røil Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Ed Willmus, developer of Bertlee Homesites presented a check for additional <br />engineering fees on Galtier and Matilda streets. Mr. Wil1mus said that the <br />streets will be completed before any buildings will be constructed on them <br />and therefore felt that a bond should not be required of him. <br />Kitts Moved, Hammersten Seconded the check for additional engineering fees <br />be accepted without a bond and that the building inspector be instructed not <br />to issue permits to anyone until the street is completed. Roll Call Alfes (5)- <br />Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Mr. Klemp of St. Mar,yls Street wanted to install only a cesspool and was told <br />it could not be allowed on account of bacteria- ·action not taking place in a <br />cesspool.
