Village of Roseville Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday, September 18, 1956 2 p.m. The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present. Salverda, Carlson" Kitts, Hammmrsten, and McGee. Attorney Robert Gearin and Engineer Charles »outter were also present. Carlson 110ved, Salverda Seconded the minut~s of the Septembe;- 12, 1956 Council Minutes meeting be accepted as presented. Roll Call Ayes (5)-N~es \0). Salverda Moved, Kitts Seconded the Council not recognize the resolution proposed Local #49 by Local #49 establishing working conditions, wages, and hours for street main- Resolution t.enance department employees. Roll Call Ayes (3)-Nayes (2)- Carlson and Hammersten opposed. Hammersten MOved, Salverda Seconded the Mayor appoint a committee to investigate Securit~or and make recomm(etldation ;Ço~ setting up a security s.Jstem for all Village PersonneJ'.mployees Roll Call Ayes 5)-Nayes (0). Charles Soutter presented a report relative to the cost of constructing a tempw Temporar,y or~ sewer line to benefit St. Farm Mutual. Sewer Line Kitts MOved, McGee Seconded the Clerk and Eñgineer secure prices from three firms for entering into a contract with the V:iJ,J..age to 1).a\Ü sewage and report by the September 25, meeting. Roll Call.Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). ' McGee Moved, Hammersten Seconded the designation of a new Planning Commission Chairmæ be tabled to the October 2, meeting. Roll Call Ayes(5)-Nayøs (0). Mrs. E. R. Bodey of 2565 Fry reported that the children in her neighborhood have no access to recreational facilities as the neighborhood is surrounded by H-wy. 36, Fairview, Snelling and the Railroad tracks. Kitts Moved, McGee Secondèd. the matter be referred to the Plarming Commission for their consideration. Roll Call Ayes (5)-N~es (0). Pl. Comm. Chairman Recreation Facilities Library Light~g A proposal was read from Tieso Electric for correction of ~lectrical installation in the Count)' Library building ....,by the Village. MaGee MOved, Salverda Seconded the Engineer be instructed to set up specifications for contracting work at the library-and secur~ estimates from atleast three qualified sources. Mildred Matson of 1904 Walnut Street, asked permission to have two 90-~ House :2ermi ts granted for parking her traiJ.er ih the Village to be used as a dwelling. Trailer Kitts Moved, Hammersten Seconded the building inspector be instructed to grant one 90-~ permit at the location desired providihg written permission for use of :facilities aI)g written p~rmission from two adjacent owners is obtained. Roll Call Ayes \5)-N~es (0). Harry R. Chalupsky, upon request of a representative of the Dayton Const. Co., Dayton ..I1ade a proposal te the Village f.r the sale of approzimately 14 acres which is C,nst. designated on -the Comprehensive plan for t..he Village as a park area. MeGee Moved, Salverda Seconded the matter be tabled. Roll Call Ayes (5)-NQJes(0). E. C. Bather submitted the following list of streets which have been chàcked and found to have been graded and stabilized in accordance with Roseville Ordinæ.ce #* governing such <D nstruction. Bather recomm.ended the streets now be finally accepted by tie Village for future maintenance. Simpson Street between Co. Rd. B-2 and Transit Street. Wilder Street between Co. Rd. D and 100 feet South. Fry Street between EldriÃge and Skillman. Kitts Mo-æd. Hammersten Seconded the Council concur with the Engineer's recommendations and accept the streets.
