Husby and Sons .:fir widening and <br />improvement of County Road B...2. <br />Hammersten Moved, Carlson Seconded the raatter be continued to November 7, <br />1956. Ron Call .Ayes (5~...Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission called the attention of the Council to the problem Pl. Comm. <br />of setting up administrative procedures under the new subdivision regulations. <br />~he Commission suggested an office form be de "Æloped with a check list to use <br />CLn new plats and that they will be glad to assist in the development of such a <br />l"orm.. <br /> <br />Kitts MO'æd, Hammersten Seconded the PI?IU1ing Commission be allowed to develop pl. Comm. <br />such form. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission submitted the following two recommendations to the <br />Council for their consideration in setting up the 1957 budget. <br />(1) That the proceeds from the one mill levied for 1956 for :t'arks and rec- <br />reation, approximately $9,'100 in amount, be used, if avaJ.lable, for a down <br />pa;yment on the civic center site. The Commission also reconnnends that a <br />levy of 2 mills be imp. sed for each of the next two years to effectuate <br />purchase of the site. If a contract purchase cannot be arranged for this <br />length of tim~, a 4-mill levy for 1957 is suggested, so purchase can be <br />completed in the coming year. <br /> <br />(2) That an amount of $3,600 be set up in the 1957 budget for continuing the <br />consulting services of Carl Gardner and Issociates. These services would <br />consist of two parts: <br />a. working out a time schedule and financing program to carry out the <br />capital improvements suggested under the proposed comprehensive plan. <br />b. Continuing technical assistance on re2íonings, new plats and other <br />phases of Planning Commission work. <br /> <br />The matter of not having enough cash for making change in the three bottle shops Liq. SÐres <br />was disc~ssed. Kitts Moved, McGee Seconded that the three bottle ships be allowed <br />to have $200.00 in cash for making change. Roll Call Ayes (5)-N~es {O). <br />The Fire Department reported that a motor for their Dodge Tank Truck is needed. F .D. <br />This will be kept in mind for the 1957 budget planning. <br /> <br />The Clerk announced that there will be a meeting on September 24, 1956, 7:30 p.m. <br />at the New Brighton Village Hall for all Ma;rors, Councils, and Police Chiefs of <br />the North Suburban areas. <br /> <br />McGee MOvedt.Hammersten Seconded the motion made on September 12, for setting up Hearing <br />a date for the Go~cil He~ing on the Comprehensive Plan be rec1nded. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-N~es ~O). <br /> <br />McGee MovedJÞ Harmœrsten Seconded the date for the hearing of the Comprehensive <br />Plan be set for October 8~ 1956 and the Clerk be instructed to have legal notice <br />of the hearing published J.n this week's Rose Tribune setting the time at 8:00 at <br />Ramsey High School.
