<br />... 2 ... <br /> <br />The Attorney's letter was read in relation to the Village requesting the <br />use of an easement from the State for the purpose of storing water in the <br />vicinity of St. Ste:Qhan and Laurie Road. ¥Jr. Gearin reported that he has <br />conferred with Mr. Van Krevelen of the Minnesota Highway Department and <br />can see no possibility of acquiring any sort of easement to state property <br />which would alleviate the situation. The letter was placed on file for <br />information. <br /> <br />Hammersten Moved, McGee Seconded the plat submitted by Anderson and Efickson <br />be referred to the Planning Cormn:j..s1Jion subject to furnishing a contour map, <br />and that Anderson & Erickson be informed tnat a contour map is required. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Na~es (0). <br /> <br />The Building Inspector reported that Ashbach Const. Co. of 1910 W. Co. Rd. C <br />has requested a permit for the construction of a 42' X 100' by 20 ft. high <br />Steeldrome warehouse and garage on the same property, and asked the council <br />to consider the request. <br />Kitts 11oved, Hamersten Seconded that a building permit be granted for the <br />building. Roll Call Ayes (5~-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the electrical charges for the r~etering station and reported <br />that the gas rates within the Village of Roseville will be reduced. <br /> <br />A letter was read from Conditioned Air Equipment Co. stating that they will <br />make any corrections if necessary in the cooling system at the l'1unicipal Lounge <br />and Bar when the air conditioning is turned on again. <br />McGee Moved, Hæmlersten Seconded the attorney be instructed to check the contract <br />Ĺ“tween the Village and Conditioned Air Equipment Co. and give an opinion at the <br />next regular meeting. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A letter was r,;ad from Conditioned-Air Equipment Co. reporting that all air <br />conditioning units, having fresh air intakes, have the water drained from the <br />refrigeration unit, and filled with anti-freeze at the Lounge and Bar. The <br />Clerk will check with the architect on the matter. <br /> <br />A letter was read from St. Rose of Lima School requesting stop signs at the <br />intersection of Belmont Lane and Hamline Avenue. <br />McGee Moved, Carlson Seconded the matter be referred to the County Engineer. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A check was recei ~d from St. Paul Fire and Marine Ins. Co. in the amount of <br />~Þ381.00 payable to Adolfson and Peterson Inc. and Roseville J.Vlunicipal Lil:luor <br />Store for damage done to No. 4 Liquor store by a Gold l'1edal Beverage Co. truck. <br /> <br />S2lverda Moved, hcGee Seconded that the Clerk be instructed to request of the <br />County and State a traffic contro¡ ¡ight fo~ the intersection of Snelling and <br />County Road IIBII. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes to). <br /> <br />Mr. Gage subm2.tted a proposed plat and asked if it is feasible to bring the plat <br />into the present sewer plans. NcGee IVloved, Kitts Seconded the p1a t be referred <br />to the Planning Cormnission and Engineer for their stuQy and report at the Nov- <br />ember 7 Council meeting. Roll Call Ayus (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The attorney submitted his opinion on the sufficiency jf the petition to rezone <br />the South 282.34 feet of the East 259.44 ft. of Lot 34, Thornton's Subdivision <br />of the NEi of Section ~, Township 29" Range 23, subject to rights acquired by <br />Ramsey County for road purposes, except that portion of said property which is <br />already zoned for business ... from residential to business. A hearing date on <br />the matter was set at the last couhcil meeting for November 7, 1956. <br /> <br />Ed Bather submitted the names of the following streets and stated that they <br />have been checked and found that they have been gradèd and stabilized in <br /> <br />Drainage <br /> <br />Anderson & <br />Erickson Plat <br /> <br />Ashbach Const. <br />permit <br /> <br />Cond.
