<br />- 2 ... <br /> <br />requested that the VillaGe Attorney st2te his specific opinion as to the limit <br />of the Council's authority to act upon such plan as presented. <br />A resolution was summitted, which was adopted by the Businessmen expressing <br />the vÙshes of the membership. <br />wesley Chandler read a letter to the Council which he recently submitted to <br />the Mayor requesting that a simple corrective motion for reconsideration, and <br />that if t'ne resolution vIere passed it would solidify commuhity spirit Ðlld <br />possibly avoid legal complications in the future.. . <br />1iorth Ochs reported that he has consulted many attorneys and recelved many <br />opinions with regard to the matter. He asked that the council reconsider the <br />~otionwhich adopted the resolution o~ October 16. <br />{erne Heyne also asked for a motion to reconsider the adoption of the reso- <br />lution in the interest of harmony and cooperation. l'-1r. He asked that the VJUlage take over <br />the road þ¢/t~ít/tt/¢~/~~ as a Village Street and after this has been done, <br />request the Board of COlUlty Commissioners to t~ke it over from the Village as a <br />County Road. The reason for such procedure is because of the var~ous laws govern- <br />ing such action. The name of the street is Kent Street, it runs from Larpen'teur <br />Avenue to i mile North. <br />Ha.mI1'IS: rsten Moved, Carlson Seconded the Village take over Kent street from Larp_ <br />enteur Avenue for a distance of i mile North, Iii in public interest, ffild request <br />the CO\L'1ty to take over the street from the Village. Huber was present to ask what ftlture affeat the adoptioh of the resolution <br />in. relatioryto the new comprehensive Village Plan would ha.ve on. their .Dlans to build <br />a sign shop. She asked for a definite answer by the meetlng or Nõvem~er 13. <br />
