Hamline Watermain Project • Project is currently in design and includes upsizing of the watermain along Hamline Avenue from Josephine Road into Arden Hills. The project will be bid later this year. Twin Lakes Trail Phase 2 • Design is complete. Bidding and tree removal later this year for construction next year. Other agency project updates: o Th 36 Multimodal Study (MNDOT) • An update was presented to City Council April 22, 2024. o TH 36 Mill and Overlay from Cleveland to Edgerson Street (MnDOT) • Notes below from recent MnDOT presentation: • Six full weekend directional closures from I35W to Hwy 61. • 10-day ramp closure westbound TH36 to southbound 135 W. • 30-day ramp closure northbound Cleveland to eastbound TH36. o Dale Street 4-3 Conversion from Lovell Avenue into St. Paul (Ramsey County) • Plans going to bid soon for construction this year. o County Road C from Lexington Avenue into Little Canada (Ramsey County) • Project team meetings have begun. Public open house was held May 21 at City Hall. Engineering Updates: o The Assistant City Engineer vacancy has been reposted simultaneously with a Graduate Civil Engineer posting for the same vacancy in an effort to get more applicants. o All five seasonal interns have started in May. Sustainability Updates: o Staff attended Rice & Larpenteur Alliance's Community in Bloom on Saturday, May 9, providing outreach about Green To Go and the bike plan. o Roseville's Less Mow May efforts were featured in a Star Tribune article on April 27 as well as a WCCO news sempent on Mav 2. o Staff presented at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center on Wednesday, May 8 as part of their new "Nature at Nine" series. The presentation topic was "Nurturing Climate Optimism in the Face of Climate Change." o Staff was appointed to Ramsey County's Waste Reduction Advisory Committee to assist with the development of their future solid waste management plan, attending four meetings in April and May with other community members and industry experts. https://www.ramseycounty.us/residents/recycling-waste/waste-reduction-action o Green To Go outreach continues, with staff working on translating outreach materials and planning additional engagement events. Maintenance Updates: o Street and Storm • Regraded & paved Owasso Hills Park pathway. • Replaced ped ramps at City Hall. • Completed with concrete repairs, mill and overlay of Oval's north lot. • Ongoing Street patching.
