<br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />DRAFT Purpose Statement <br />Purpose <br />The Roseville Equity and Inclusion Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and city <br />staff to apply an equity and inclusion lens to city policies, procedures, projects, programs and <br />initiatives. <br />Scope duties and functions <br />Review and provide feedback on departmental equity and inclusion workplans which serve to advance <br />equity and inclusion throughout the organization. <br /> Review and provide feedback on the SREAP and to advance the action plan’s priorities and equity and <br />inclusion throughout the organization. <br />May participate in the Equity and Inclusion Action team that will operationalize <br />departmental equity and inclusion workplans throughout the city that advance the SREAP priorities. <br /> May represent the City at events where appropriate and approved by city staff or the City Council. <br />Perform other duties and functions as requested by city staff or the City Council. <br />Definitions: <br />Departmental equity and inclusion workplans Following the City Council Strategic Planning, each City <br />Department will be responsible for and accountable to creating a workplan that outlines how the specific <br />department will work to progress the priorities outlined in the SREAP. <br />Equity and Inclusion Action team – This would be a cross-departmental team that co-develops strategies <br /> for operationalizing the city’s equity and inclusion priorities, facilitates and implements equity and <br />inclusion efforts throughout the organization, serves as a resource for staff. <br />Qbhf!6!pg!51 <br /> <br />
