June 11, 2024
Mayor Dan Roe and Councilmembers
CC: City Manager, Pat Trudgeon
RE: Neighborhood Opposition to Fence at 257 McCarrons Blvd. S., Roseville, MN
Mayor Roe and Councilmembers,
Thank you in advance for your time and thoughtful consideration.
Current homeowner/residents at the ENCLAVE at McCARRONS LAKE
developer, builder, and representing realty agency oppose the recently installed fence at 257
McCARRONS BLVD. S. In addition, neighbors who are not part of the ENCLAVE but live on or near
the lake have joined us in opposition. On behalf of these parties, I will express our views.

1. CHARACTER of McCARRONS LAKE NEIGHBORHOOD
We homeowners were drawn to reside in Roseville and purchase our homes near McCarrons Lake
parks for recreational activity.
Since moving here, we have happily observed the emphasis the city places on preserving this character,
culture, safety, and suitability. For example:
!

!While the 2018 Management Plan focuses on the health of the lake itself, passages such as
preservation of the character of Roseville neighborhoods is a guiding principle for the City of
Roseville.

2. GUIDELINES and SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
presents risk to others.
!The fence recently installed at 257 McCARRONS BLVD.
