<br />Village of Roseville <br /> <br />Regular meeting of Roseville Village Council Monday, Februazy 11, 1957, 8 P.M. <br /> <br />The council met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Brennan, Carlson, Kitts and McGee, Hanunersten absent. Attorney <br />Loftsgaarden and engineers Bather and Sautter were also present. <br /> <br />McGee Moved, Carlson Seconded that the minutes of Febr~a~ 5, 1957 <br />be accepted as corrected. Roll Call Ayes (4) - Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Captain Brown from the Army Reserve appeared before the council <br />asking their assistance in filling the quota for a unit in <br />Roseville, $0 the Federal Armory can be built here. <br /> <br />A letter from Eugene A. Monick Was read regarding fines collected <br />in 1949 and 1950 on "Special Use Fuel". McGee M ved, Barlson <br />Seconded it be referred to the attorney and repo~t back at the next <br />meeting. Roll Call Ayes (4) - Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A letter from Mrs. Earl Worner WaS read regarding Mr. Brennans <br />ijuestion on the operation of the Mun. Liquor stores. Mr. Brennan <br />suggested the auditors report be published in full in the Rose <br />Tribune so everyone could read it. Kitts requested that before <br />it is published the report be checked with Taylor and McC skill <br />because he had questions regarding the report. ~ <br /> <br />Al Fuerstenberg's bill on the balance due him was presented. <br />McGee Moved, Carlson seconded that the clerk be instructed to <br />check into payment of it and report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Brennan Moved, Carlson Seconded that the council meet with <br />Taylor and McCaskill to discuss the Liquor store report. <br />Roll Call Ayes (4) - Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A letter WaS read from Stanslafki, the Mayor of New Brighton <br />inviting the council to Open House of the New Brighton Municipal <br />Building, February 16, 1957, 2 P.M. - 8 P.M. <br /> <br />A letter was read from the Personnel Working ConQttions Committee <br />regarding their feeling on the use of a time clock by village <br />employees. It was the unanimous opinion of the committee that <br />their recanmenda1;ion remained unch~ed as it aPQeared in their <br />letter of Jan. 25th which stated "that the use òr a time clock <br />by village employees is not justified at this time." <br /> <br />Mr. Heyne of the Police Civil Service Commission was asked their <br />feelings on the matter. He stated it had not been discussed among <br />them and did not wish to state his own feelings. McGee suggested <br />the council wait until both committees had reported. <br /> <br />McGee Moved, Brennan Seconded, that the Police Civil Service <br />Commission include their recommendation on the time clock for <br />the Police.
