Chapter 403 of the City Code establishes a system of curbside recycling <br />45 as a public utility for Residential Dwellings and Multi-Family Complexes in the city. In order <br />46 to meet the goals and requirements of this Chapter, the City must contract with a private <br />47 contractor for the collection of recyclable materials. <br />48 <br />49 Equity Impact Summary <br />50 There should be no equity impacts associated with this RFQ as the recycling program is <br />51 citywide. <br />52 <br />53 Budget Implications <br />54 There are no budget impacts associated with the RFQ if all the responses are rejected. If <br />55 the City Council accepts a proposal, the costs would be based on the selected <br />56 respondent’s rates. <br />57 <br />58 <br />59 <br />60 All the responses are less than the estimated cost which was ~$744,000 for carts and <br />61 assembly and delivery. <br />62 <br />63 If the City decides to purchase carts, Roseville will have to pay up front costs of the carts <br />64 for manufacturing, delivery, and roll-out based on the above responses.
