o Four potential design options will be available for feedback at the next DYP event at <br />Lexington Park on August 14 <br />The puppet wagon will be redesigned in 2025. The Commission discussed engagement <br />strategies to include kids in providing feedback. <br /> Construction on the new park at 2381 County Rd. B isunderway. The park is anticipated to <br />open spring2025. <br />Skate Park upgrades at the OVAL –multiple new skateparkpieces added. <br /> Natural Resources Plan <br />o 2 meetings completed <br />o Assessment of all parks completed <br />o Draft project list completed <br />o To do: <br />Goals/policies <br />Volunteer program assessment <br />Draft report <br /> Bike Planning Committee <br />o 3 bike audits completed <br />o Provided feedback on bike planning needs <br /> A proposal will be presented to the City Council to upgrade the lights at the Roseville <br />Skating Center to LED. The anticipated timeline for the project is to complete it by the end of <br />2024. <br /> An RFQ for a consultant has been issued for the replacement of the OVAL scoreboard. <br /> The fountain at the Arboretum has outlived its useful life. Replacement of the fountain will <br />be completed in the coming months. <br /> Data continues to be collected on the conversion of amenities (pool, splash pad, parking, etc.) <br />at Rosebrook Park. <br />City Manager Trudgeon is planning to attend the next Parks and Recreation Commission <br />meeting to discuss the Campus Master Plan. <br /> Updates on Roseville’s ongoing deer management plan will be an agenda item at an <br />upcoming Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. <br /> <br />b) OTHER NEW OR RELEVANT COMMUNICATION ITEMS <br />Commissioner Penny asked about the age range for the LIT Program. Staff relayed that LIT <br />participants must be twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years of age. Commissioner A. Arneson <br />recommended continued marketing of the LIT program (and similar) with the School District. <br /> <br />The Commission acknowledged all of the great, high quality programs, and events that Roseville <br />Parks and Recreation has facilitated for the community. <br /> <br />Registration is open for fall programs/activities. <br /> <br />, 2024, from <br />9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This event will provide the opportunity to explore the facilities, meet staff, <br />and learn more about the programs offered <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
