2 General Requirements for All Collections <br />2.1 Service Requirements <br />The Contractor shall provide comprehensive recycling services as fully described herein and as <br />described in Contractor's response to the Request for Proposals. For all RDUs, collection shall <br />occur weekly or bi-weekly at the frequency of and on the day of the week designated in <br />Exhibit A, "Recycling Zones Map." For MDUs with five or more units, collection may be <br />weekly or bi-weekly. <br />2.2 Collection Vehicle Equipment Requirements <br />All vehicles must be clearly identified on both sides with Contractor's name and telephone <br />number. In addition, all collection vehicles used in performance of the Contract shall: <br />♦ Be duly licensed and inspected by the State of Minnesota. <br />♦ Operate within the weight allowed by federal and Minnesota statutes and local road <br />weight limits. <br />♦ Be Minnesota Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant at all times. <br />♦ Be leak -proof. <br />♦ Be maintained to operate within acceptable residential neighborhood noise levels. <br />♦ Be kept clean and as free from offensive odors as possible. <br />Each collection vehicle shall be equipped with the following: <br />Two-way communications device. <br />2. First aid kit. <br />All safety equipment required by federal, State of Minnesota, and local governing <br />bodies, including federal and state (DOTS). <br />4. Universal spill kits, or other appropriate equipment for cleaning up spills and/or leaks. <br />Receptacle for driver's cigarette or cigar butts, tobacco ashes, and chewing tobacco <br />residue. <br />2.3 Personnel Requirements <br />Contractor shall retain sufficient personnel and equipment to fulfill the requirements and <br />specifications of this Contract. The Contractor will provide a route supervisor to oversee the <br />recycling route drivers servicing the City. The route supervisor will be available to respond to <br />customer complaints by cell phone or voice mail. The route supervisor and all collection vehicles <br />must be equipped with two-way communication devices. <br />RFP for City of Roseville Recycling Services .
