The Contractor's personnel will be trained in: program operations specific to Roseville's <br />recycling program, this Contract, and in customer service. The Contractor shall ensure that all <br />personnel maintain a courteous, professional, and positive attitude with the public and in the <br />workplace. The Contractor shall notify employees working within the City of its policies to <br />promote equity in all City services and contracted operations. <br />The Contractor shall ensure that all personnel will adhere to the appropriate personnel conduct <br />including but not limited to the following requirements: <br />1. Conduct themselves at all times in a courteous manner and use no abusive, <br />discriminatory, or foul language. The Contractor employee actions and <br />communications shall be in compliance with the City's inclusion and respect <br />statement. <br />2. Perform their duties in accordance with all existing laws, ordinances, and regulations; <br />and future amendments thereto of the federal, State of Minnesota, and local governing <br />bodies, including federal and state DOTS. <br />3. Be clean and presentable in appearance, so far as possible. <br />4. Wear a uniform and employee identification badge or name tag. <br />5. Drive in a safe, legal, and considerate manner. <br />6. Manage recycling carts in a careful manner by picking them up, emptying their <br />contents into the collection vehicle, and placing the container back in its curbside <br />location with the lid closed, so as to avoid spillage and littering or damage to the cart. <br />7. Monitor for any spillage and be responsible for cleaning up any litter or breakage. <br />8. Avoid damage to property. <br />9. Only discard cigarette or cigar butts and tobacco ash in a proper receptacle on the <br />collection vehicle. <br />10. Not smoke while inside garages or other enclosed buildings. <br />2.4 Recycling Containers <br />[THIS SECTION MAY BE AMENDED AS NEEDED AFTER CITY'S DECISION ON <br />CART OWNERSHIP: CONTRACTOR -OWNED VS. CITY -OWNED CARTS.] <br />The standard cart approximate dimensions shall be: <br />36-gallon cart (36 inches high by 18.5 inches wide by 23.5 inches deep). <br />64-gallon cart (39 inches high by 25 inches wide by 31 inches deep). <br />96-gallon cart (41 inches high by 30 inches wide by 36 inches deep). <br />RFP for City of Roseville Recycling Services .
