Engineering Updates: <br />• Erik Henricksen joined the team on August 21 as the Assistant City Engineer. He has city and <br />county experience in other states and most recently was a Project Engineer for the City of <br />Chanhassen, MN. <br />Sustainability Updates: <br />• Staff led zero waste planning for Tapped & Uncorked with Parks & Recreation staff and <br />Friends of Roseville Parks Board on September 13. With the help of 18 volunteers, we <br />diverted 300 pounds of recycling and compost waste from the trash at the event. <br />Staff presented on a panel about Roseville's involvement in the Charging Smart program at <br />the Minnesota APA conference on September 19. <br />Staff continues to serve on a Metropolitan Council Climate and Natural Resources policy <br />Technical Advisory Group, providing comments and feedback for the Council's Imagine 2050 <br />planning process. <br />Staff attended the Wild Rice Festival on September 21, working with local Girl Scout <br />Troop 58373 to educate attendees about proper composting and recycling techniques. <br />Maintenance Updates: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Fourth right-of-way mow completed. <br />o Third sweep started. <br />o Ongoing street patching. Continuing annual crack seal program. <br />o Ongoing repair and replacement of street signs. <br />o Continued compost site turning and maintenance. <br />o Continued storm sewer maintenance repairs. <br />o Removed temporary State Fair Parking signs. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Continued inspections for water service line inventory. <br />o Lead Free Roseville reporting at 88%. <br />o hi progress - 2024 sewer television and cleaning. <br />o Ongoing water main repairs. <br />o Continued underground locates, weekly lift station inspections, collection of water <br />samples, and replacing water meters and MIUs. <br />Council Updates: <br />• Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City Council.
