ATTACHMENT 1 46 47 WHEREAS the City, through the Roseville EDA, agrees to act as legal sponsor for the 48 Project if the grant application to be submitted on or before October 1, 2024 is approved; and 49 50 WHEREAS the City acknowledges Livable Communities Demonstration Account grants 51 are intended to fund projects or project components that can serve as models, examples or 52 prototypes for development or redevelopment projects elsewhere in the region, and therefore 53 represents that the proposed project(s) or key components of the proposed project(s) can be 54 replicated in other metropolitan-area communities; and 55 56 WHEREAS only a limited amount of grant funding is available through the Metropolitan 57 Council’s Livable Communities Demonstration Account during each funding cycle and the 58 Metropolitan Council has determined it is appropriate to allocate those scarce grant funds only to 59 eligible projects that would not occur without the availability of Demonstration Account grant 60 funding. 61 62 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, after appropriate examination and due 63 consideration, the City Council: 64 65 1.Authorizes the Executive Director of the Roseville Economic Development 66 Authority to submit an application for Metropolitan Council Livable 67 Communities Demonstration Account grant funds for the Project; and 68 69 2.If such funds are received, to execute such agreements or other documents 70 necessary to accept such funding as required by the Metropolitan Council. 71 72 73 74 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member , 75 and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: , 76 , , , and Mayor . 77 and the following voted against the same: 78 79 80 81 WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
