1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />2 OF THE <br />3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />4 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />5 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />th <br />6 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 7day of October, 2024, at <br />7 6:00 p.m. <br />8 The following members were present: , , , , and Mayor . <br />9 and the following were absent: . <br />10 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />11 RESOLUTION No. <br />12 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF LOVELL <br />13 AVENUE THAT LIES ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTIES LOCATED AT: 2334 <br />14 WESTERN AVENUE NORTH AND 2339 HAND AVENUE <br />15 WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 412.851 desires to consider <br />16 the vacation of a portion of Lovell Avenue that lies adjacent to the properties located at 2334 <br />17 Western Avenue North and 2339 Hand Avenue; and <br />18 WHEREAS, the portion of Lovell Avenue that is being vacated is legally described on the attached <br />19 Exhibit A and as shown on the attached Exhibit B; and <br />20 WHEREAS, the City Clerk published, posted, and mailed notice of a public hearing as required <br />th <br />21 by law, and a public hearing was held on the proposed vacation on the 7 day of October, 2024; <br />22 and <br />23 WHEREAS, a public street is not currently, nor is planned to be, constructed within this right-of- <br />24 way; and <br />25 WHEREAS, the City Council in its discretion has determined that the vacation will benefit the <br />26 public interest because this portion of Lovell Avenue is not needed for current or future right-of- <br />27 way purposes. <br />28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, that: <br />29 1.That portion of Lovell Avenue that lies 55 feet west of the northeast corner of the <br />30 property located at2339 Hand Avenue and adjacent to the property located at 2334 <br />31 Western Avenue North is hereby vacated, with the exception that an easement for <br />32 utility purposes within the vacated right-of-way is hereby reserved. <br />RS160-1-907473.v2 <br />Qbhf!4:!pg!6:7 <br /> <br />
