November 15, 2024 <br />Candace Dale <br />435 Judith Avenue <br />Roseville MN 55113 <br />RE: Water Service Repair <br />Dear Property Owner: <br />In February of 2023, the City of Roseville notified you of a leaking water service and that it was your <br />responsibility to repair. A letter was sent to you on March 7, 2023, indicating the same with a date to <br />repair the water service. Since the water service was not repairedin a timely manner,the City hired a <br />vendor to eliminate the safety hazard caused by leaking water freezing on the street. The water service <br />was repaired in mid-March of 2023 by a City contractor. The invoice for the work was sent on <br />March 22, 2023, for the repair in the amount of $6,975. Since the invoice has not been paid, this matter <br />will be brought forward to City Council for consideration to put on your taxes. <br />This matter will be discussed at a public hearing before Roseville’s City Council. At this public hearing, <br />Public Works will request authority from the City Council to adopt a resolution approving the <br />certification of unpaid charges to the County Auditor for collection on your property taxes. If the invoice <br />is paid prior to the public hearing date, the public hearing will be cancelled and the case file closed. <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, will meet at <br />th <br />6:00 p.m. on the 25 day ofNovember, 2024, at the City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, <br />MN, to hold a public hearing pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, in regards to the emergency <br />water service repair abatement and assessment. <br />The cost of the emergency repair was $6,975 and is proposed to be assessed over one (1) year starting in <br />2025 with an interest rate of eight percent (8%). All persons desiring to be heard may appear and be <br />heard by the City Council. I encourage you to attend the meeting. You will be given the opportunity to <br />speak.
