o TH 280 Design from Wabash to I35 W <br />• In design for 2026 resurfacing <br />• Other <br />o Metro Micro Roseville Area (Metro Transit) <br />• Lunched in early January <br />G Line (Metro Transit) <br />• Planning and design continue for construction 2026-2028 <br />Flood Mitigation Project (Capitol Region Watershed District) <br />• Trout Brook Interceptor (TBI) Detailed Modeling Project identified potential <br />flood mitigation opportunities at Roseville Lutheran Church and at Falcon <br />Heights United Church. Design and estimates are being developed for further <br />discussion. <br />Engineering Updates: <br />• Recycling Contract <br />o Staff continue to negotiate with Waste Management on the next recycling contract that <br />runs from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030. Agreement approval is anticipated in <br />February, pending final comment acceptance. <br />Sustainability Updates: <br />• Roseville was awarded a Solar on Public Buildings grant of $72,000 to install a 40kW solar <br />array on the Booster Station. <br />• Staff recognized three outstanding households for the 2024 Sustainable Steward Awards: <br />Anne Frenchick and Ted Thompson — gold, Carol and Tim Wahl — silver, and Kristina <br />Krepela — bronze. Awardees were recognized by staff and FDA members at the January 13, <br />2025 FDA meeting. <br />• Staff was selected to serve on two work groups for the Minnesota State Climate Action <br />Framework 2025 update — climate equity and local government climate implementation. <br />Work groups will meet 3-4 times over the next six months to provide feedback to the state on <br />improving and updating the framework. <br />Maintenance Updates: <br />• Mike Kroeger was promoted to Streets Foreman. <br />• Chad Thoennes was hired as a Utility Maintenance Worker 11. <br />• Interviews were held for the Streets Maintenance Worker II open position. <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Winter tree trimming within the right-of-way underway. <br />o First compost turning began Jan. 23, 2025. <br />o Kent Site available water main break spoils in place last month. <br />o Ongoing response to weather events regarding winter maintenance. <br />o Ongoing storm sewer maintenance, sign work, and assisting with water main repairs. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Will be replacing water tower mixer (under warranty). <br />o Continued inspections for water service line inventory. <br />0 15 watermain breaks have occurred since the last PWET meeting in November. <br />PWET Communications Memo Page 3 <br />Page 10 of 43 <br />
