Attachment 5 <br />Community Engagement Plan for Civic Campus Project <br />Creation of Civic Campus Final Design Stakeholder Group <br />Purpose: To provide input and feedback to the overall Civic Campus Improvement Project that <br />will construct a new Maintenance Operations Center, License and Passport Center/Dance Studio, <br />new green space, and a location for a relocated VFW. It is intended that the group will operate <br />and the “Involve” and “Collaborate” level IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation (See <br />attachment) <br />Specifically, the working group will provide feedback and recommendations on the final design <br />of the Maintenance Operations Center, License and Passport Center/Dance Studio, and new <br />green space, including: <br />Overall site configuration <br />Landscape/hardscape/streetscape buffering on edges of project <br />Design elements of building (architecture, exterior materials, height) <br />Mitigation efforts to minimize impact to surrounding properties <br />The stakeholder group will not be using its time to discuss whether the overall project should go <br />forward as that decision has already been made by the City Council. <br />The working group will have three phases of their work: <br />Providing general feedback and input about the final design of the project to ensure <br />concerns are addressed <br />Review options/design proposals for the project that incorporates the feedback and input <br />received from working group to maximum extent possible <br />Make a recommendation to the City Council regarding the final design <br />There will be at least one meeting for each phase of the working group’s work. Additional <br />meetings for each phase will be scheduled if needed. <br />The Civic Campus Final Design Stakeholder Group will be comprised of ten members <br />representing the following areas: <br />Three residents of surrounding property owners (Griggs St./Lexington Apartments and <br />Townhomes/ East Side of Lexington Ave.) <br />Onerepresentative of the VFW <br />One citizen representative (5 in total) from the following Commissions: <br />Finance Commission <br />Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Planning Commission <br />Public Works, Environment, and Transportation Commission <br />1 City Councilmember <br />Qbhf!35!pg!6: <br /> <br />
