Attachment 5 <br />Community Engagement Plan for Civic Campus Project <br />Residents from the surrounding area that are interested in being part of the stakeholder group <br />would submit a city-supplied application for consideration by the City Council. The City Council <br />would appoint three residents from the surrounding area from the applicant pool. <br />Staff recommends that each commission appoint a member to serve on the stakeholder group. <br />The City Council would appoint its representative. <br />The Stakeholder Group will be staffed by City Manager, Public Works Director, Parks and <br />Recreation Director and other staff as needed. The consulting Architect for overall project will <br />also attend the working group meetings. <br />Involvement of City Commissions <br />Staff intends to keep allthe relevant city commissions informed throughout the design and <br />construction of the project with standing agenda items for each meeting. <br />In addition, commissions will be taking up specific issues relevant to their scope. A preliminary <br />list of these tasks include: <br />Finance Commission <br />Review and recommendation of financing for Maintenance Operations Center and <br />License and Passport Center <br />Review Request for Proposals for Project Architect and Construction Manager <br />Planning Commission <br />Consideration of rezoning and Comprehensive Plan re-guidance for VFW and Lexington <br />Shoppes properties <br />Review of real estate transactions <br />Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Review Request for Proposals for Project Architect and Construction Manager <br />Review and recommendation of the final design of the Maintenance Operations Center <br />Public Works, Environment, and Transportation Commission <br />Review Request for Proposals for Project Architect and Construction Manager <br />Review and recommendation of the final design of the Maintenance Operations Center <br />Equity and Inclusion Commission <br />Review Request for Proposals for Project Architect and Construction Manager <br />Qbhf!36!pg!6: <br /> <br />
