Are allowed as part of a permanent freestanding sign, provided that the sign <br />151 comprises no more than 50 percent of the total square footage of said sign face. <br />152 2. Must be located at least 200 feet from any property where there are structures used <br />153 for residential purposes or from any park or open space land use district. <br />154 3. Must be located at least 100 feet from any side property line. <br />4. Displays shall be maintained for a minimum of 15 seconds. <br />Shoreview <br />155 <br /> <br />Sec. 113-63. - Dynamic display billboards. <br />156(a)Where permitted, intent.Dynamic display billboards are permitted along high-volume <br />157 interstate corridors where the city has land use control on each side of the interstate right- <br />158 of-way. As such, the signs may only be placed along the I-694 Highway corridor. The <br />159 intent is to minimize the impact the signs may have on adjoining communities. <br />160 (b) General standards. <br />161 (1) Location and setback requirements. <br />162 a. Dynamic display billboards are permitted within 150 feet of I-694 right-of-way <br />163 and must be oriented to be read form the interstate. <br />164 b. The minimum linear distance between dynamic display billboards located on the <br />165 same side of the I-694 shall be 5,250 feet. <br />166 c. The sign structure shall maintain a minimum setback of ten feet from any <br />167 property line. <br />168 d. The minimum linear distance for the sign structure from any road intersection <br />169 with I-694 shall be 1,300 feet as measured from the centerline of the road right-of- <br />170 way. <br />171 e. The minimum setback for the sign structure from any residential use is 500 feet. <br />172 f. Prior to the issuance of the sign permit, a visual impact analysis may be required <br />173 if the city manager determines the proposed dynamic display billboard could have a <br />174 detrimental visual impact on a residence, residential neighborhood or obstruct the <br />175 views of city park or county open space from properties developed with a <br />176 residential use. <br />177 (2) Permitted on vacant properties. Dynamic display billboards are permitted only on <br />178 properties that are vacant and not occupied by another structure or building. <br />179 (3) Size. <br />180 a. The maximum gross surface area for each face of a dynamic display billboard <br />181 shall be 700 square feet. <br />182 b. Signs may be single or double-faced. <br />Qbhf!89!pg!363 <br /> <br />
