<br />34 Phase 2 – Only if authorized after Phase 1, if needed <br />35 o Provide two alternative options for LPC on City Campus that would result in a <br />36 cost savings for the City. <br />37 o Provide report and presentation to Council. <br />38 <br />39 The proposed schedule would be as follows: <br />40 Release RFP – February 11, 2025 <br />41 Proposal Due – March 3, 2025 <br />42 Award Contract – March 17, 2025 <br />43 Present Phase 1 Final Report to Council – May 19, 2025 <br />44 If Phase 2 work is authorized, this would likely extend the schedule. <br />45 <br />46 The RFPs would be scored by staff using the following matrix: <br />47 <br />48 <br />49 <br />50 Policy Objectives <br />51 The construction of a new Maintenance Operations Center and License and Passport <br />52 Center (along with the City Dance Studio) will allow the City to continue to provide <br />53 needed and valuable services to the residents and businesses of the community in a more <br />54 efficient manner. The new facilities will ensure that the City's roads, utilities, vehicles, and <br />55 equipment are maintained at the desired level and that valuable services such as <br />56 recreational programming and driver license and passport processing are conveniently <br />57 available to community residents. <br />58 <br />59 Equity Impact Summary <br />60 Issuing this RFP is the first step in exploring cost-effective options for the License & <br />61 Passport Center and Dance Studio. The License & Passport Center provides essential <br />62 services that many residents rely on, including those with mobility challenges, and non- <br />63 native English speakers as examples. The Dance Studio has the potential to serve a wide <br />64 range of community members by offering accessible recreational opportunities. As <br />65 proposals come in, it will be important to consider how different options affect access to <br />66 these services and facilities. Making sure the final plan is both cost-effective and accessible <br />67 will help ensure these spaces continue to serve the whole community and align with the <br />68 ’s goal of being a welcoming and inclusive place for all. <br />69 <br />70 Budget Implications <br />71 There is not cost associated with releasing the RFP. The costs of the study requested is <br />72 unknown at this time. Once proposals are submitted the actual cost will be known.
